These images trace the life of Violet Popovich, beginning with the shooting but then going back to her early years. Many of the family photographs presented here are from the collection of Mark Prescott, Violet’s nephew. Some were taken when Violet was approximately 16 to 18 years old (around 1927 to 1929) and others when she was about age 40 (1951) . Photographs copyright © Mark Prescott.
